The louise damas maintenance guide

to take care of your jewels

We make all our jewels with quality materials that we choose with care for their support, aesthetics and comfort.

Our earrings’ clasps are in silver to avoid any allergy and their weight is calibrated so that they can follow you all day long without bothering you.

After the gilding, we apply a protective varnish on all our jewels to protect their brilliance in time.

Many details considered so that your jewels and their stories accompany you for a long time.

To stay timeless, your jewels need to be dolled up. We promise, no ceremony with great pomp, just a few little things to adopt everyday and that make a total difference.

Golden

rules

All our jewels are in brass and tin gilded with fine gold. In our workshop we only use 24k pure gold, not blended with other metals, that we love for its quality and unique color. But in the long run, our life habits can affect its brilliance.

To keep its brilliance, a few precautions are essential; nothing too complicated you’ll see.

A few little
things to adopt

To preserve your jewels and keep them as brilliant as during your first meeting, here are a few little things to adopt:

- Put them in their box, to protect them from external aggressions (sun, moisture, dust, etc.)

- Think about refolding your hoops or lever-back earrings’ rods so that they don’t become infatuated with another too daring jewel and to avoid the tears.

- Prefer the end of your beauty routine to put your jewels on, to not damage them, because they’re not big fans of cosmetics.

- Grant your jewels a break when you’re going for a swim, having a shower, doing a bit of sport or sleeping.

In the everyday life

Avoid any extended contact with salted or chlorinated water, sweating, perfume, etc. Your jewels won’t deteriorate just after your first dive in the pool, but in the long run, it makes a difference!

Friendly advice: No matter the material your jewel is made up of, don’t let it do the housework with you. Cleaning products and their composition can be frightening.

If you forget, don’t panic, a few solutions present themselves to you before calling us to the rescue.

In case

of

misconduct(SOS)

Express drying needed: Use a bit of talc and a soft cloth to take off any trace of moisture, into the smallest corners.

It’s enough to dry them, no need to put them on the heater or in the oven, jewels need sweetness.

For the ones who only wish to be cleaned: Whether you’ve been taking yourself for a Picasso while painting or a Bocuse while cooking, a soft cloth soaked with a little bit of rubbed alcohol followed by talc will save your jewels’ life.

Except for pearls, this could damage the mother-of-pearl.

Sandstorm alert: If after a day at the seaside sand grains stay stuck in your chain’s links or in the jewel’s finest details, a little interdental brush will do the trick. To use carefully and available in any drugstore.

The regilding,

service!
